What is clear is that Sega is adding several new features to the original Sonic Colors, making it worthy of the Ultimate subtitle. While Sonic Colors: Ultimate will also release on Nintendo Switch, it's unclear if the motion controls and Miis from the original release will make the leap over to that version of the game. Sonic Colors: Ultimate is another long-awaited remaster of a great game that was stuck on a less-than-ideal piece of hardware. This new release retains the same campaign as the 2010 Wii game but ditches the motion controls and Nintendo-specific Mii features for more generalized input that allows for play on Stadia, Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.
